10th ANNUAL FRIENDS OF THE PROGRAM OUTING RAISES $11,589 FOR TREYTON KILAR FIELD OF DREAMS

WHITEWATER, Wis. – Over 100 attendees at the 10th Annual Friends of the Program, Ltd. (FOTP) Charity Golf Outing helped raise $11,589 for the Treyton Kilar Field of Dreams Project. The record setting event for FOTP was held Saturday, August 20 at Prairie Woods Golf Course in Avalon, Wis.

On Friday, October 7th, during half time at the Whitewater High School Homecoming Football game, a presentation of the check was made by FOTP Board Members Jeremy Niemuth, Mike Kachel, and Rob Nelson to Mike and Mary Kilar, parents of Treyton Kilar.

“We are very excited to contribute to youth athletics in Whitewater through the Treyton Kilar Field of Dreams project,” stated FOTP President Jeremy Niemuth. “The support for this year’s event was tremendous and was responsible for our record setting efforts. The FOTP Board wants to thank all the sponsors, volunteers and participants for their continued support.”

The proposed Treyton’s Field of Dreams is a 220-225 foot, youth-sized field with concrete dugouts, fencing, concession stands and lights to be located at Starin Park in Whitewater.

“We are touched by the outpouring of support by this entire community and the Friends of the Program,” said Mary Kilar. “Friends of the Program reaches out to so many worthwhile programs year after year and to have this support for the Treyton Kilar Field of Dreams means so much to our family.”

“We know this field will be built and provide a place for thousands of our youth to achieve their dreams for years to come,” added Kilar. “Thank you isn’t enough, but it is heartfelt.”

The 11th Annual Friends of the Program Outing will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2012, again at Prairie Woods Golf Course. 10th ANNUAL FRIENDS OF THE PROGRAM OUTING TO SUPPORT TREYTON KILAR FIELD OF DREAMS

WHITEWATER, Wis. – The 10th Annual Friends of the Program, Ltd. (FOTP) Charity Golf Outing to benefit youth athletics in Whitewater will be held Saturday, August 20 at Prairie Woods Golf Course in Avalon, Wis. The shotgun start will begin promptly at 12:30 p.m. This anniversary year is likely to be the largest in the organization’s first ten years as all proceeds will support the Treyton Kilar Field of Dreams project.

“The Board of Directors unanimously supported dedicating this year’s outing soley to the Kilar family’s efforts,” noted FOTP President Jeremy Niemuth. “Within our mission to supporting athletics in Whitewater, we believe this project will have an enduring impact on aspiring young baseball and softball athletes like Treyton. The overall impact will be as widespread for the community as anything we’ve done in the past nine years.”

One month before his 7th birthday, Treyton Kilar’s dreams were cut short when a drunk driver took his young life on September 2, 2010. Committed to keeping his memory alive and wanting to make something positive come from such a horrific act, his family with the support of community has rallied in an effort to build the “Treyton Kilar Field of Dreams” as a way of celebrating Treyton’s life and honoring all those affected by such tragedies.

Along with golf and sponsorship opportunities, a raffle and silent auction will be held to raise additional funds for the $474,000 project. A participant gift, contests, hole prizes and dinner are included in the $110 entry fee.
