Friends of the Program originated in 2000 with nine guys who got together to raise money to help a friend. In 2001, the group decided to refocus their efforts on a common bond between all of them, Whitewater athletics. FOTP, Ltd. is a Wisconsin non-stock corporation and a Section 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization. FOTP, Ltd. engages in charitable activities focusing on the advancement of student-athletes and athletic programs in Whitewater, Wisconsin. To advance its charitable purposes, FOTP, Ltd. organizes and sponsors fund-raising events, raffles, charity auctions and other events to solicit contributions from individuals and organizations and then donates the contributions it receives, net of expenses, to the athletic departments, teams and programs that its board of directors determines will most directly benefit Whitewater-area athletics and student-athletes.
